I love whole vegetables! There’s something so pretty about carrots with their tops still attached, fat dissolving daikon with their nutritious leaves, and crisp luscious red radishes with their fresh green leaves. I’ve been ordering from Dr. Shahwan’s organic farm for over a year now, and each delivery feels like a joyous unwrapping of presents. Below are are just some of the orders I’ve purchased.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ How to order if you’re a new customer ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

1) Please call the company with the number found on the order form below. Unfortunately, the person who answers the calls only speaks Arabic, so you’ll need the help of an Arabic speaker if you don’t speak Arabic.

2) Explain that you’re a new customer, and give your address to the person. You will then arrange a delivery date. Deliveries usually take place on certain days.

3) Now, using the order form found below, choose the vegetables you want. Then email your order into the company.

4) On the specified date, your freshly picked organic food will arrive to your delivery address. You will receive a receipt with the cost of the order, with the payment only in cash.

5) Enjoy your produce!

It’s that simple! The most difficult part is getting your address across to your driver. However, once your initial delivery is set up and completed successfully, you will have no problems with recurring orders.

The vegetable order form is below. You can print it out and keep it for your orders. Please note, produce is seasonal, and therefore you might not find some of the produce available all year round.

With regards to sizing, the plate size is the smallest and the big size is more suitable for the large family. The big size is like the usual family size pack of vegetables you see in the supermarkets here.

Have fun ordering, and if you need help with the arabic or any other questions, let me know and I can help.๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Hi Sara, its good to see an organic shop in KSA and much needed one. An amazing try I say!!!

by the way,it would be great if you know is there any way i can get wheat grass powder, barley grass powder, organic flax seed oil capsules in saudi??

      • Hi Magthum

Thanks for visiting and your kind comment.

Which city is closest to you for these products, Riyadh or Jeddah?

      • In Jeddah, organic flax seed oil capsules can be found in Abazeer and occasionally Danube, but they sell out really quickly.

As for Wheat grass and Barley Grass powder, unfortunately I’ve not seen them being sold anywhere in Jeddah yet. The best option would be to order it online through Amazon or another online store.

The other thing I want to make you aware of is many of these hard to get hold of health products can occasionally get stuck in customs for a long period of time when health stores order them, which is why it takes so long for health stores to replenish their stock. Therefore, if you have the opportunity to visit Dubai or Bahrain, you can easily find these products there and bring them back with you.

        Hope ths helps.

  3. Where is your location in Riyadh? I prefer shopping from stores than ordering by phone.๐Ÿ™‚

    • Hi Khalid,

Dr. Shahwan’s products can be found in Lulu, Tamimi and Biobest occasionally. For more of a store experience to purchase organic food, head to Watania or Lulu where there’s a wide range of fresh organic food available.

      All the best,

      Sarah

  4. Asalamualaykum,
Thank you for your posts there useful and informative! Its really encouraged me to make some changes!
I have some questions if you could help me i’d be very grateful. You said I might be able to get Avacado oil from an indian chemist or shops could you direct me where? Ive only met syrian/misri pharmacists..Also, do you know where I can get Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar from? ive seen the other ones in the organic shop but id like the Braggs brand… Also, different sized non bpa food containers and bottles I can fill with water and put in the fridge to keep cool. Also, water and shower filters?
I’d like to order from Dr Shawhan but im not sure whether to order plate size veg or a bit bigger (its just me, hubby and the baby), if i order more itl probably last me longer but i heard organic veg tends to rot quicker because its not covered in pesticides etc?
Also, if we want to visit a farm in Diriyah is it possible or would we still have to go via the ACR? (i read your reply to Layla)…sorry for the whole spanish enquisition ive been meaning to ask for a while and the list just got bigger!..anyway any help would be appreciated..take care in London i heard the storm was quite bad and theres another one coming!
